Solar Shadows – 6pk

This kit comprises 6 sets of Solar Shadows: a useful tool for exploring how the length of a shadow changes throughout the day, based on the position of the sun in the sky. Using a torch to represent the sun, students can easily experiment and visualise that the shortest shadow occurs at  noon, when the sun is directly overhead, and shadows lengthen in the morning and evening, when the sun is lower on the horizon. The sundial is made from sturdy acrylic, and the shadow person made from acetyl.
